You need 3+ years of hands-on experience in your subject domain. We are not looking for teaching experience or certifications — we are looking for professionals who have built real projects, worked in team environments, and can explain complex concepts clearly. If you have worked at an IT company, product startup, or as an independent consultant and have genuine depth in your domain, you qualify to apply. The 50-minute demo session is where we evaluate your technical depth and teaching clarity.

Earnings depend on your subject and batch volume. Per-hour rates range from ₹400–1,200/hr depending on subject demand. Per-batch earnings range from ₹8,000–30,000 per batch of 8–15 students. You also earn a revenue share on every student who enrolls in your course — rate disclosed during onboarding. An instructor running two batches per month earns ₹16,000–60,000 from batch fees alone. Instructors in high-demand subjects like DevOps, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow earn at the higher end of these ranges.

The demo has three parts. First, you teach a 20-minute segment on a topic of your choice within your subject area — this shows us your explanation style and content depth. Second, our academic team asks 15 minutes of questions, including at least one that tests real-world depth beyond surface-level knowledge. Third, 15 minutes covers your teaching approach, how you handle struggling students, and your availability for batch scheduling. The demo is conducted online via Google Meet or Teams. You receive structured feedback within 48 hours. If approved, onboarding takes 3–5 business days.

Completely flexible. You choose your preferred schedule during onboarding: weekday mornings (9 AM–12 PM), weekday evenings (7 PM–9 PM), or weekends (Saturday/Sunday, 9 AM–1 PM or 2 PM–6 PM). Most instructors who are currently employed teach evening or weekend batches — 2–4 hours per week alongside their primary job. If your availability changes, batch scheduling is adjusted with 2 weeks' notice. We do not force you into a fixed schedule or minimum teaching hours.

You choose. Online live delivery is fully supported — you teach from anywhere via our integrated video platform. Offline classroom delivery is available at our training centers in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Noida. Hybrid batches combine both. Most instructors start with online delivery and add classroom batches later. There is no requirement to teach in person unless you prefer it.

Batch earnings are paid within 7 business days of batch completion via bank transfer to your registered account. Per-hour earnings are consolidated and paid monthly. Revenue share from student enrollments is paid quarterly. TDS is deducted as required by Indian tax law, and you receive Form 16A. There are no platform fees, LMS charges, or deductions beyond TDS. Payout history and earnings breakdown are available in your instructor dashboard.

No. TutorsBot provides a curriculum framework for every subject — a suggested module structure, recommended lab exercises, and assessment templates. You are free to adapt it based on your teaching style and student backgrounds. The framework reduces your preparation time and ensures coverage of the topics students expect. You are not required to follow it exactly. Experienced instructors typically use it as a starting point and customize based on their real-world experience.

Batch sizes are capped at 8–15 students. This is deliberate — smaller batches mean more interaction, better student outcomes, and higher satisfaction scores. You will not be teaching to a room of 50 students where individual questions get lost. Every student in your batch gets direct access to you during sessions. Batch size is set before enrollment closes, so you always know how many students you are teaching before the first session.

You get a dedicated academic coordinator who handles scheduling, student communication, and operational issues. LMS access for uploading materials, assignments, and recordings. Pre-configured lab environments for hands-on subjects. Student feedback after every batch. A content framework for your subject. For new instructors, a mentor pairing for the first two batches. Our academic team reviews session recordings for quality assurance and provides constructive feedback — not to micromanage, but to help you improve.

The typical timeline is 2 weeks from application to first batch. Application review takes 48 hours. If your profile matches, the demo is scheduled within 5 business days. After a successful demo, onboarding takes 3–5 business days — profile setup, LMS access, batch scheduling, and payment configuration. Your first batch is then scheduled based on your availability and current student demand for your subject.

The subjects with the highest student demand and lowest instructor availability in 2026 are: AI & Machine Learning, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow. Full Stack Development, Python, Java, React, and Data Science also have strong demand with more instructor coverage. If you have expertise in any of the high-demand subjects, your application will be prioritized. Applications for all 214+ course subjects are welcome.

Yes — most TutorsBot instructors teach part-time alongside their primary job. Evening and weekend batches are specifically designed for working professionals. Teaching 2–4 hours per week is enough to run one batch per month and earn ₹8,000–30,000 in batch fees. Many instructors start with one batch per month and scale up as they get comfortable with the platform and student base. There is no minimum teaching commitment.
